Pork and yellow chives stir fry is a quick and easy vegetable and protein dish. Yellow chives are often used in Chinese cooking and are the leaves of garlic. Yellow chives have a sweeter taste than its sister green chives (aka Chinese chives), because it is grown without sunlight.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound yellow chives

  • 1/4 pound pork tenderloin

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 slices ginger

  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing rice wine

  • 2 scallions

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Directions

  • Wash and chop yellow chives and scallions into 2 inch sections. Do not keep ends.
  • Chop pork tenderloin into thin 2 inch strips
  • Heat wok and olive oil and stir fry ginger slices to release aroma. Add pork and rice wine. Stir fry until evenly cooked.
  • Add yellow chives and scallions. Stir fry until slightly softened. Drizzle sesame oil and soy sauce to stir fry another 2 minutes. Remove from wok and serve.
