Steamed egg custard is nutritious and delicious. You can use water in place of chicken stock also for a pure steamed egg taste.

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup chicken stock

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Directions

  • Fill a wok or steamer with water to high heat to boil.
  • While water is heating up, whisk eggs in a shallow bowl you can place in the wok or steamer.
  • Add chicken stock to the eggs and whisk.
  • Place the bowl of egg mixture in the steamer. Place the lid on top of the steamer/wok with chopsticks in between. This will allow more airflow enabling the steamed egg to have a smoother consistency. Steam egg for 30 minutes.
  • Use a spoon to gently drizzle soy sauce on surface of egg.
